Jeanne first took
up a paintbrush in 1994 when she registered in a beginners Watercolor
class at Alberta College of Art. Since then, she has joined numerous
continuing education painting groups, along with completing Intermediate
and Advance classes in Watercolor. In the late nineties she had
the opportunity to go to Florida and spend 10 months in Monotype
classes in the Museum of Art and Science at Melbourne, Florida.
At the same time she was a member of the Watercolor group in Cocoa
Beach that met weekly.
These experiences advanced
her abilities and greatly influenced her present work. She has said,
"As a fairly new artist, she becomes absorbed in the process
of creating easily. The results of this process are almost always
delightful, rewarding and sometimes exciting. Sharing the results
of the creative process with others for me is essential. Reactions
from observers are always noted and invoke responses". She
hopes all who view her work are inspired to pursue their own creative
processes, whatever they maybe.
